Thin Film Experts VCF Films Sponsors Speaker
Howell, Mich., December 28, 2011—VCF Films (VCF) a leading manufacturer of thin polymer films and coatings for a variety of industries, today announced that they will be sponsoring a presentation by web-coating expert Dr. Edward Cohen, at the 2012 Flexible Electronics and Displays Conference and Exhibition (2012 Flex), being held February 6-9 in Phoenix, Arizona. 2012 Flex is presented by the FlexTech Alliance.
Cohen, who has over 45 years experience in the thin film coating and manufacturing industry, is a well-published author and researcher who has personally developed many coating and drying techniques for a wide variety of precision coated products, polyester films, photopolymer films, thin film batteries, fuel cells, and smart labels.
Cohen’s presentation, scheduled for Wednesday, February 8 at 10:00 am, will cover the various advantages of the slot die coating process and how it can be used by flexible electronics and display manufacturers to improve the quality of existing products, and to develop new product components. Slot die coating uses many different materials that can be applied to a wide variety of substrates critical in electronics manufacturing.
According to VCF Vice President of Sales and Marketing Ray Durling, “VCF’s sponsorship of Dr. Cohen at the 2012 Flextech conference reflects our direction as a company. The 2012 Flex Conference is the perfect venue to unveil our newest thin film and coatingcapabilities for flexible electronics. The audience at the conference represents the heart of our target market.”
In addition to his presentation Wednesday morning, Dr. Cohen will be on hand to answer questions in VCF’s booth (# 40) for the duration of the day.
